Members of the Pastoral Care Ministry to the Sick and Homebound bring the healing touch of Jesus to those in need. They are mindful of the dignity of each person. Age and sickness may have destroyed the exterior beauty, but hidden within is the suffering spirit.
Men and Women serve in this ministry for many reasons; they treasure the Eucharist and do not wish anyone to be deprived of it; they understand how lonely others can get; and/or they are compassionate, caring people who are responding to God's call. They make it possible for the sick and homebound to receive Holy Communion on a regular basis. Because of their personal sacrifice, they maintain the sacred connection that brings comfort and spiritual nourishment to those who cannot join us in the Sunday Liturgy.
If you know of a family member, a neighbor, or a friend who would like to receive the Eucharist, please call Rose Arceri (860) 342-0065.
