The First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion preparations take place in 3^rd grade.

First Reconciliation (sometimes referred to as penance or confession) emphasizes God’s love and forgiveness when one shows sorrow for failing to make the right choice. 

First Holy Communion preparation involves the study of the Mass, therefore regular mass attendance for our third graders is expected.  The children will learn about the miracles Jesus has performed and most importantly, how through the actions of the priest and the power of the Holy Spirit, the bread and wine become the body and blood of Jesus.
